* Jim White (Lead vocal, Harmonies,Bass) - Jim was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa where he first learned to play the guitar. At the age of ten, his father moved the family to Northeastern Minnesota where Jim went through his teens and early 20’s performing in high school and college plays and musicals. He also performed in various local bands. After many years of performing all types of music, Jim has settled in with a band that’s fun and can perform “just about anything”. Playing the bass guitar and singing his heart out every time is what he enjoys the most on stage with the group “So-Big”.
* Nicole Holzinger (Lead vocals, Harmonies) - Born in Rosemont, MN, Nicole grew up listening to and singing country music. This is what she remembers most about her childhood years. Her mom used to say “she has been singing before she could walk” and has been ever since. After graduating from Winona State University in 1994, she moved back to Minneapolis where she continued to sing. Throughout the next several years she continued to expand her singing career with a variety of bands; doing demos for songwriters and also radio and TV ads. Singing everything from old country to the 80’s, to most current pop and country music. Nicole brings a strong voice and colorful personality to the most enjoyable band she has ever performed with, “SO BIG”.
* Rick “RJ” Johnson (Lead Guitar) - Rick first picked up the guitar when he was 8 years old after watching his uncle play. From then on it has become a “passion” for him to learn how to play. Rick learned on his own without lessons, thus developing his own “style.” He has played in many different bands throughout the years. In 2004 he joined up with the other members of “so big” and brought “a little rock & roll” feel to an established country band. Since then “so big” has been a blast to play in and rick feels very honored to be playing with such a wide variety of awesome talent.
* Todd Holzinger (Lead vocals, Harmonies, Keyboard) - Growing up in Bloomington, Todd was always into music. He learned piano and drums at a young age, and was the leader in his choral programs both in high school and college. After attending Moorehead State University for 2 years studying music industry, Todd was not happy with the direction he was headed. So he made the switch to the recording engineering program at Music Tech in Minneapolis. This lead to an internship, and then a job as a house sound, lighting and video engineer at “Mississippi Live”. It was there that he got his “foot in the Door” in the Minneapolis music scene. Working with many local and national talents, he obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience in both the “tech” and “performance” sides of live music. Today, after working with many bands, he has landed with what he considers “the most talented group of musicians I have ever had the pleasure of working with”. He calls this “the most fun” he has had on stage and hopes to continue down this “So-Big” road, where ever it may lead!”
* Christian Dady (Drummer) - A native of Northeast Minneapolis, Christian has been playing drums for over 25 years. During that time, he has played with many different types of bands including: metal, rock, jazz, blues and alternative. He put the sticks away for awhile and found himself working in radio, but eventually returned to his first love – music. Christian states "I really love being a part of this band. Everyone in So Big is an accomplished musician that also realizes the point of music, first and foremost, is to HAVE FUN!”
